gardn4Michigan Energy Demonstration Centers

Michigan Energy Options is home to two of Michigan's nine State Energy Demonstration Centers.

Our centers are in East Lansing and Marquette.

These demonstration centers feature a variety of exhibits that address insulation techniques, renewable energy technology, recycled and sustainable building materials, energy efficient lighting strategies, ENERGYSTAR appliances, environmentally friendly household products, and energy and water conservation strategies

Our demonstration centers are open to the public and feature guided tours upon reservation.  Each year, thousands of people visit us and learn first-hand how they can make their own homes more energy efficient.

Starting in 2011, we have been upgrading our East Lansing Center so as to achieve LEED certification. This has been a challenging, exciting and rewarding process. Check out our LEED process and progress here.
